James Mcdermott out for 4-5 weeks
KANSAS CITY - When it rains, it pours. Kansas City's
right-hander James Mcdermott
will not pitch for at least 4-5 weeks, handing the
team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in
a game against Mexico City where he left the field
in the 3rd inning. Doctors examined him after the game
and diagnosed a Pulled Tricep Muscle which will require
surgery. His ERA of 7.68 helped him to a 1-3 record
this year. He struck out 18 and walked 12 in 36.1 innings.
